Preferred Gardens Takes Over | Mary Jane Berlin 2026

Bringing California Genetics to the World

Every year, the cannabis industry gathers in one place for one of the biggest celebrations of the culture, and this year Preferred Gardens was proud to return to Mary Jane Berlin.

With more than 75,000 attendees, over 500 international exhibitors, and four massive exhibition halls inside Messe Berlin, plus the outdoor Sommergarten complete with a main stage and Ferris wheel, Mary Jane has become one of the largest cannabis events in the world. It's where growers, breeders, brands, and enthusiasts from every corner of the globe come together to celebrate the plant and push the culture forward.

For us, it wasn't just another trade show, it was a chance to reconnect with the worldwide community we've been building through genetics. The World Is Growing Preferred.

One of the coolest moments of the weekend came from seeing people who purchased our seeds last year and return to the booth with photos and videos of what they had grown. Growers traveled from France, Australia, Canada, Thailand, and many other countries to show us their unique Lazer Gun phenotypes and breeding projects. Watching our genetics evolve in different climates and under different cultivation styles is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Every grower sees something different. Every hunt produces something unique. That's exactly why we love releasing seeds.

Blue Zushi Goes Global.

This year, we introduced our highly anticipated Blue Zushi crosses to the world.

Blue Zushi has become one of the most sought-after cuts in cannabis, and because access to elite genetics can be difficult, we wanted to give the community an opportunity to work with something truly special.

The goal has never been to keep great genetics locked away. It's to put them in the hands of passionate growers who will discover the next great phenotype. That's how the culture moves forward. Speeding Up the Pheno Hunt is the best part about selling seeds isn't simply selling genetics. It's watching what happens after.

Thousands of growers across the globe hunting through the same line means thousands of opportunities to discover something incredible. Every new keeper, every unique expression, and every new cross. Contributes to the future of cannabis breeding.

At Preferred Gardens, we believe sharing genetics accelerates innovation and helps create the next generation of legendary cultivars. The global pheno hunt is officially underway.

One phrase we heard over and over throughout the weekend was:

"Das sind die besten Samen auf dem Markt."

Translation: "These are the best seeds on the market."

Hearing that from growers halfway around the world means everything to us. It reminds us why we spend countless hours hunting, breeding, and selecting only the genetics we truly believe in.

And honestly...

We think giving people access to these genetics is the schnitzel.

Every trip to Berlin reminds us that cannabis has become a truly global community.

Seeing Preferred genetics growing in countries around the world, meeting the people behind those gardens, and watching the next generation of breeders emerge is something we'll never take for granted.

To everyone who stopped by the booth, picked up seeds, shared your grow, or celebrated with us throughout the weekend...Thank you.

We can't wait to see what the world creates with this year's Blue Zushi crosses.

The next legendary phenotype might already be growing somewhere out there.
